Would you like to play an active part in HEART?

People volunteer for many reasons, but volunteering with us will be a chance to support your local community, learn new skills and develop current ones.

This is also an exciting time to get involved with Heart as we have developed the volunteer programme to provide lots of volunteer opportunities and projects in things such as marketing, arts and music programming, gardening and more!

We have a great and ever growing team of volunteers and you could be one of them!

What would I be doing?

A required commitment from our volunteers is to help with the operations of HEART by doing a 4 hour reception shift at the minimum of once a month. 

Other responsibilities will depend on what you would like to get involved with. We aim to be as flexible as we can dependant on what you wish to get involved in!

Do I need any special qualifications or skills?

No. Our volunteers come from a wide range of different backgrounds and bring many different skills to the role, but all volunteers need to be able to deal with people in a friendly and competent fashion.

You do need to be aged over 16.

Will I receive any training and support?

Training will only be required for the reception role and this will be done in a buddy system until you are confident enough to be on the desk on your own.

Our volunteer coordinator Bella will work to support you as much as possible in your time with us!
