DESCRIPTION:Friday Night Live: FISHER/HENRY/ROFFE/featuring MICHAEL KANAN \nplus optional Workshop with MICHAEL KANAN available only to concert goers \nTaking influence from the rich jazz tradition Howard/Henry/Roffe play songs from the great American songbook and new original compositions. Influenced by the swinging sounds of the 50s/60s. The group features some of North’s finest jazz musicians. The trio is working with legendary jazz pianist Michael Kanan for a short run of gigs. Michael is one of New York’s most esteemed pianists and has worked with Kurt Rosenwinkle\, Lee Konitz and Mark Turner.\nThe band plays firmly within the jazz tradition and all share a love for straight-ahead jazz\, highlighting the tight improvisation style and crisp arrangements of the music. Expect these talented musicians to explore virtuosic solos\, memorable melodies\, and swinging grooves.\nWould you be interested in improving your own jazz piano skills?
