DESCRIPTION:TALKING HEADS – HOW DAVID OLUWALE CHANGED LEEDS \nFrom 7.30pm – 9.00pm \nDavid Oluwale’s life and death in Leeds is commemorated by the Hibiscus Rising sculpture\, a Blue Plaque and the ‘David Oluwale’ footbridge. \nAll these memorials are near the River Aire where Oluwale was hounded to his death in 1969 by two Leeds police officers. \nTHE SPEAKER: Max Farrar\, grandfather\, active citizen\, sociologist\, photographer and writer will show some key moments in David’s 20 years and explain the impact of the trial of Inspector Ellerker and Sergeant Kitching in Leeds Crown Court in 1971. \n  \nDonation £3 but no one turned away for lack of funds

Feeling like some gentle socialising? Come join us at Colour and Chill. We’ll be reinventing Saturday nights\, playing mellow tunes and having a casual natter with new people – while doing some soothing shading\, of course. \nNo artistic skill is required\, just a willingness to contribute towards a welcoming and laid-back vibe. \nIf you can’t attend the full session\, just drop in when you can. \nColouring books and art supplies will be provided\, but you can of course bring your own. \nSee you there! \nBook your spot here. \nThe event will take place in the Assembly Bar + Kitchen at Heart Centre\, which will be open for refreshments.
