DESCRIPTION:SOUNDBITES – Monthly Poetry Open Mic  \nLive in the Assembly Bar + Kitchen! \nReadings by a different local published poet each month and this month we’re delighted to welcome \nFaye Marshall – a poet and spoken word artist who founded the Cloth and Coal Poetry Community in south Leeds and has hosted workshops and panels in the UK\, Europe\, the Americas and South East Asia. \nHer poetry has been published in several anthologies\, and her debut pamphlet\, ‘Throwing\nSugar on the Fire’ was published by Yaffle Press in May 2025. \n  \nOPEN MIC \nWe supply the mic – you supply the poetry \nPut your name down for a 5 minute slot (first come\, first served) or just come along and listen. \nOpen mic name listing from 6.30pm \nEvent begins with guest poet at 7.00pm \nEveryone welcome.
