DESCRIPTION:SOUNDBITES – Monthly Poetry Open Mic  \nLive in the Assembly Bar + Kitchen! \nReadings by a different local published poet each month and this month we delighted to welcome JANE SHARP \nJane Sharp is a poet from Barnsley. She’s been published in The Dalesman\, Dream Catcher\, Voices for Change\, and the online zines Fig Tree\, 60 Odd Poets and The Starbeck Orion\, has had work in various anthologies and broadcast on BBC Radio. She won the Nine Lives Slam in Sheffield and has headlined at several poetry events. \nHer publications include two novels: Tears from the Sun – a Cretan Journey and Higgs Bottom\, and three collections of poetry: A Poet in Glenridding\, A Poet in Barnsley (Amazon.co.uk) and Cretan Whispers published by Sherwood Handcraft. \nJane also enjoys learning to play the cello. \nOPEN MIC \nWe supply the mic – you supply the poetry \nOn the night put your name down for a 4 minute slot (first come\, first served) or just come along and listen. \nOpen mic name listing from 6.30pm \nEvent begins with guest poet at 7.00pm \nEveryone welcome.
