The Herbie Underwood Quartet draws deeply from the tradition of jazz and improvised music while fearlessly exploring the music’s ever-evolving musical and cultural offshoots. Moving fluidly from bebop through jazz-funk and into hip-hop–influenced and contemporary sounds, the quartet offers a wide-ranging and deeply personal take on what “jazz” means today.

Featuring Herbie Underwood (drums), Tom McEwen (guitar), Joe Frost-Tesfaye (piano) and Elliot Roffe (bass), expect deep grooves, free-flowing interaction and close musical communion in a compelling, forward-thinking live performance.
