Tuesday Night Live: Ingrid Rodebjer and Cori Smith

From their backgrounds in English and Swedish folk music, Cori and Ingrid intertwine traditional melodies with new compositions and improvisation.

The duo met last year when Cori was an exchange student studying folk music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. With fiddle, viola, song and banjo, they create spiralling arrangements where spinning, trance-like melodies morph into electrifying groove-based tunes, inviting the audience on a musical journey.

For the duo, no other feeling comes close to making music, creating ‘another world’ and passing on something special to an audience.
