Tuesday Night Live: HERBIE // JOE FROST – Beaten Track

Joe Frost and I (Herbie) would like to welcome to the first gig of our newest (and coolest) project yet.
Our long time musical companionship has taken many endeavours in the world of jazz, hiphop, funk and so on, though our latest has taken us on a deep dive into the world of loops, synths and electronica.

Recorded at our “home studio”, AKA: the dining room, we have been getting lost in layers of electronic sound scapes and drum loops, whilst trying to keep elements of our more acoustic, live background. Our aim, to take the electronic sounds of detroit/chicago house, brokenbeat and dub, and mix it with our own, live jazz approach to our instruments.

To bring our music to life, we will be joined by three of our wonderfully talented friends, Tom McEwen (guitar + synth), Toby Freeman (Synth + Bass) and Reece Soko-Fogg (Percussion)
