Dufftet is a solo venture led by Leeds based Tenor Saxophonist, Saul Duff. Saul plays with Leeds based groups Awen Ensemble and Ferg’s Imaginary Big Band, starting Dufftet as a means to play his own compositions. Saul takes a great deal of influence from Jazz saxophonists such as Paul Desmond, Seamus Blake, and Dexter Gordon, also often citing Pat Metheny as a writing influence. Saul likes to write pieces about his home in Gorton, Manchester, and plays these alongside a selection of standards. The band features :
