Headingley Social returns with an evening of authentic entertainment with live music on Friday 6th May. Live music from The Suitcase Rags Trio, an eclectic selection of records from Gip Dammone and delicious pop up street food courtesy of Salvo’s.
The Suitcase Rags Trio are a blues infused skiffle group playing American folk music, blues covers, Appalachian laments and original material in an authentic style. On vocals, guitar, harmonica, kazobo and suitcase drum kit is Nik Rafferty, accompanied by Joel Smith on tea chest bass and Don Mort on steel guitar. For lovers of Hank Williams, Tom Waits and squares dancing.
Gip will be bringing records for relaxation as well as dancing. Including original rhythm and blues, 60s/70s soul, 50s mambo and all in between.
Donations on the door. Suggested £5 to pay the band and to go towards HEART.
