1958, an unidentified entity falls to Earth and wanders around the forest in a small American town in Maine. Hogarth Huges, a curious 9-year-old, sets on a search for the unknown. His finding, a gigantic metal robot, exceeds his expectations. After Hogarth saves the giant from electrocution, the two become friends. The boy wants to spend more time with his new friend, but he must be careful – there is a nosy governmental agent Kent Mansley on their tail.
Brad Bird’s (The Incredibles, Ratatouille) debut, based on a 1968 science-fiction novel written by British poet Tom Hughes, the Iron Giant is a superhero story filled with both exciting action and warmth of a caring, selfless friendship.
