Talking About Trees is a documentary following 4 local filmakers in their attempt to revive cinema-going in Sudan. These 4 older men are now forcibly retired but retain their passion for film and more importantly their friendship which has endured decades of separation, struggle and exile. The film deals with serious and political issues but is also hilarious, witty and at times surreal. An absolute gem of a film.
