Jane Fielder, Corridor

14th February – 28th March

Jane is probably Bingley’s best known and most well-loved artist and ran The Gallery for 12 years before handing over to David Starley, although she remains very much part of the gallery, curating her own works in ‘Jane’s Room’. Her popular, generally watercolour, ‘Janescapes’ portray familiar surroundings and people in full quirkiness and raise many smiles. However, her talent is far deeper and wider, working in a variety of media, and in some surprising places. Crouched on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square or converting cardboard packaging to artworks in Shanghai, she lets few opportunities pass her by.
