This award winning film RETURN TO DUST follows the lives of Ma Youtie and Cao Guiying in rural Gansu throughout the year of 2011. The humble Ma and timid Guiying have been forced into an arranged marriage by their families. To survive, the couple come together and build a home for themselves.
The film did well at the box office in China but was suddenly banned by the government and removed from cinemas.
